Eco-friendly beauty tips


Initially they were almost therapeutic for highly sensitive skins requiring chemical free products which were as natural as possible that looked after the skin without irritating it.

Nowadays, there are a large variety of eco-friendly cosmetics, from exfoliates, cleansers, moisturisers, soaps, shampoos, conditioners, masks to all kinds of make-up, which do not contain transgenic or chemical elements.

Below is a list of the most commonly consumed products for eco-friendly beauty:

  1. Clay, oat or argan masks. They soften, moisturise the skin and help cure acne.
  2. Tea tree oil. It heals, cleanses and protects the skin from infections.
  3. Moisturising creams with jojoba oil for reducing fat, jelly with B group vitamins, vitamin E as an antioxidant or C for regenerating and healing. And shea butter or almond oil which are powerful nutrients and have moisturizing properties.
  4. Rose hip oil. It is used for healing and moisturising, for the face and body, and visibly reduces stretch marks.
  5. Anti-wrinkle creams with argan oil, ginseng or ginkgo
  6. Aloe vera gels. It is great for skin regeneration as well as being an antioxidant.
  7. Body soaps with butter, witch hazel and oils. They cleanse and moisturize, and have astringent properties, thus helping to prevent loss of water from the skin.
  8. Exfoliates with calendula. It soothes and protects the skin.
  9. Shampoos containing honey, camomile and avocado oil for caring for the scalp and keeping your hair shiny and silky.
  10. Toothpaste. To whiten them and prevent tooth decay. They contain myrrh or sage.

Natural and eco-friendly make-up products are being increasingly used because they help prevent many allergic reactions in the skin. They do not contain parabens, ethanol, propanol or other stabilisers and preservatives.

There are lipsticks, blusher, eye shadow, mascara or nail varnish using only natural products like bamboo, jojoba oil, vitamin E, shea, aquamarine, xanthan gum, waxes, rice powder or maize.
