Quinoa is a seed that belongs to the Amaranthaceae family, which is grown mainly in the Peruvian and Bolivian Andes, as well as other regions such as Ecuador, Colombia, Argentina, Chile and the United States.
It is classified as a pseudocereal, because it contains carbohydrates and fibres like cereals do, although it contains quite a lot more fibre.

This is how it is prepared
