One of the trendiest classes in the gym at the moment is global fitness.

Do you know what it is?

Global Training consists in training all the main groups of muscles, by means of localized and specific exercises, combining toning with aerobics.

It is done to music and part of the class is choreographed, to help you pick up and keep the pace. It is suitable for people of any age, as the classes can be less intense and no prior preparation in sports is required.

This is how it works:

  • The classes last 50 minutes.
  • Start with a warm-up and general stretching using a simple choreography.
  • Once you have warmed up, raise your heart rate with typical aerobic moves, to the rhythm of the music: Basic, V-step, Grapevine, Mambo, Cha Cha Cha, 3 knee repeater, etc.
  • Then comes bodybuilding. To do this you can use: dumbbells, sticks, balls, exercise bands, wrist or ankle weights.
  • Specific arm work: strengthening of biceps, triceps and shoulders, with dumbbells, wrist weights, sticks, or bands and doing push-ups.
  • Leg work, by means of squats, or aerobic moves with weight added to the ankle.
  • Specific work on buttocks, thighs and abdomen, by means of lateral leg exercises, on all fours, hypropressive exercises or complete abdominal series.
  • You end with stretching and deep, calm breathing.
